The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside crib that allows parents to co-sleep with their newborn whilst ensuring they're sleeping safely. Its smooth gliding motion helps to ease your baby back into sleep and its innovative features ensure that you can monitor them without leaving your bed.
The sliding side panel of the cot can be lifted and lowered with a simple pressing of a button. This makes it easy to reach inside and soothe a baby at night. It also comes with 11 height adjustments that allow it to fit the mattress of almost any size bed. It also has adjustable folding feet to ensure it is at the right height.
The cot is padded, features mesh sides for better ventilation, and its mattress is made of high-density, foam for extra protection. It's also washable to keep it clean, and it comes with a fitted sheet that is suitable for use with the cot.
The Roomie Glide, unlike some other cribs for beds, is compatible with most beds including divans. This is because of the clips and straps which connect it. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib if it isn't connected to the bed. It has many incredible features that were designed with parent and baby bonding in mind.
It is essential to keep in mind that this crib won't last as long once your baby turns six months old. You'll need to purchase a larger crib. Overall, Roanna found that the Joie Roomie Glide was a very good purchase and she was particularly impressed by its elegant design.
John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a reasonable price for such a cot. She also liked the way it looked in the bedroom and thought that the grey color would suit most modern homes. She did mention that it's not a good idea to rock a baby younger because it could create a bad sleep pattern for later.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning bedside crib designed to ensure a peaceful night's sleep in mind. It features a drop-side rail that can be easily lifted to feed your child in the evening without disturbing them or forcing them out of the bed. This is great for breastfeeding mothers! It is also lightweight and easy to move around during nap time or when traveling.
We love that it's constructed from soft materials with mesh sides that are breathable, which promote airflow and comfort. It comes in charcoal or oak with a range of melange fabrics that can be incorporated with all styles of decor. Anna found that it was sturdy and secure after being affixed to her bed. The legs snapped into place and the zippers were secured to ensure safety. It took Anna about 10 minutes to put together and did not require any tools. There are clear instructions as well as a video, and a customer support number in case you encounter any issues.
In addition to the standard features you'd expect from a bedside crib that include the ability to attach to your bed using a stay-in-place connection system and six levels of height The CoZee comes with an additional incline option which can be used to help aid congestion or reflux in babies. It's also machine-washable, a must for all the dribbles, vomit and snot that comes with having a newborn!
The CoZee is a great option to keep your child close during the first six months of acquiring the ability to sleep independently. It can be used as a cot, changing station and toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa-bed extension pack, it could be converted into an actual bed. It isn't able to feed your baby, or magically sleep them, it will rock them to send them off!
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of Chicco's most expensive options, however it is packed with lots of features. It's designed to be used as a side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable from birth up to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel thanks to a new mechanism. It's also more adjustable than its predecessor, having 11 different height levels as well as feet that retract to place under any bed.
Our testers were impressed by the ease of use offered by the side panel, which can be moved upwards and downwards with just one push of a button. This was a huge benefit during feeding times at night because it meant they could easily reach in and pick up their baby without waking them up.
It is possible to lower the side panel itself, but this isn't recommended, as it increases the risk that your child could fall out of the cot. The patented safety locking system ensures that the side panel will only remain in place if it's properly attached to the mattress of the parent. Our test subjects found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, though it does come with a long instruction manual. It's heavier than some of the other side-sleepers but it's still very portable and can be moved from room to room easily. It's small enough to fit in a travel bag when not in use, which is a bonus in the event that you have to transport it. Cots 4 Tots noticed was that the side panel didn't flex like some of the other models, making it a little harder to see your baby from your bed.
The Shnuggle Air
If you're in search of a bedside crib that will expand with your child then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth considering. It's a crib for co-sleeping that attaches securely to your bed and can be turned into a stylish cot when your baby is old enough. It is ideal for feeding your baby at night and strengthening the bond between you and your baby's new.
The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, not like other models. The mesh side panels with dual-view and airflow mattress that is hypoallergenic and breathable increase airflow and keep your baby cool and comfortable. A gentle incline option helps to ease reflux and colic while the zip down side makes it easy to feed or soothe your baby at night.
The cot conversion kit (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you require to begin. It took us about an hour to put together and was surprisingly simple. The only issue was the lack of captions in writing on a few of the images which made it difficult to comprehend certain steps. However, it was an easy procedure and the quality of materials employed was of a high standard.
In the co-sleeping mode, we found the Shnuggle Air to be an ideal choice for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a c-section as it allows them to easily reach out to their infant for feeding and comfort without having to leave their bed. It's also great for mothers who wish to avoid the difficulty of getting into and out of a traditional cot, or placing their baby down for a nap.
The gliding motion was discovered to be very beneficial in lulling babies to sleep following feedings during the midday or at night. The drop-down side makes it easy to feed or soothe babies during the night. This was a major selling point for our exhausted test mums.
